Graduate Spotlight: Karlie 🎓 We’re proud to recognize Karlie, who graduated from California Baptist University with a degree in Business Administration! Her journey with Kids’ Chance of California began in 2022, when she received her first KCCA scholarship as a freshman. Since then, Karlie has remained an active and engaged member of the KCCA community, including earning 1st Place in the KCCA Student Video Contest twice and sharing her story.

Karlie’s educational journey reflects the lasting impact of supporting students and providing opportunities for the children of injured workers. We look forward to seeing all that she accomplishes in the future. 💙

🌟 Volunteer Spotlight: Alysha 🌟

Thank you, Alysha, for your outstanding service and all that you do for KCCA! Alysha's exceptional dedication and unwavering commitment to KCCA continue to make a lasting impact. She consistently steps up whenever help is needed, bringing enthusiasm, professionalism, and a true team-first spirit to every event.

Most recently, Alysha played a key role in the success of the CCWC Silent Auction, where she worked the auction booth, updated auction fact sheets in real time, and helped ensure a smooth and successful closeout of the bidding process. Her attention to detail and willingness to do whatever was needed contributed greatly to the event's success.

Alysha also volunteered to assist with registration at our Sponsor Recognition Event without being asked, demonstrating the initiative and positive attitude that make her such a valued member of the KCCA family.

A true ambassador for KCCA, Alysha's generosity, dedication, and countless contributions help advance our mission and support fundraising efforts that directly benefit our scholars. Congratulations on this well-deserved recognition! 💙

Thank You, CCWC! 💙 We’re incredibly grateful to the California Coalition on Workers' Compensation (CCWC) for another wonderful conference and for your continued support of Kids’ Chance of California. Thanks to the generosity of the CCWC community, we raised:

✅ $7,000 through the Silent Auction
✅ $850 in individual donations
✅ $1,000 from Shaw Yoder Antwih Schmelzer & Lange

A special thank you to Tyrone Spears for leading a donation drive during the conference and inspiring individual contributions to support our mission.

Together, these efforts help expand educational opportunities for the children of injured workers and bring us closer to creating brighter futures for students across California!

Congratulations, Jayden! 🎓 We’re proud to spotlight Jayden, who graduated from the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa with a degree in Business Entrepreneurship.

Jayden plans to bring her education and passion back to her hometown of Crescent City, where she hopes to open a coffee shop that serves as a welcoming community gathering space while introducing others to her Tolowa Dee-ni' culture.

Her vision for the future is a wonderful example of how education can empower students to make a meaningful impact in their communities. We’re honored to have been part of Jayden’s journey and look forward to seeing her dreams come to life. 💙

We’re proud to celebrate Teresa as she takes the next step in her educational journey, beginning her Master’s Program at California State University, Long Beach in Fall 2026. 🎓

Teresa has been an engaged member of the Kids’ Chance of California community, sharing her story as a Student Panelist at a KCCA Sponsor Recognition Event and helping others better understand the impact of educational opportunities for children of injured workers.

This month, we are honored to recognize an outstanding volunteer, Jonathan Castro, whose dedication and passion continue to make a lasting impact at Kids' Chance of California.

His commitment to our mission is evident through his active involvement in several golf tournaments, conferences, and special events supporting Kids Chance of California. He consistently shows up ready to help and inspires others.

As Co-Chair of the Conference & Events Committee, he plays an important role working successful events and helping to raise critical funds for KCCA. His leadership, hard work, and enthusiasm help to expand opportunities for the students and families KCCA serve.
