This weekend, the Rescue House is hosting a gathering of cats with big personalities and even bigger dreams. Some dream of laps. Some dream of snacks. Some dream of knocking your water bottle off the table.

Here are more cats that will be in attendance! We hope to have approximately 30 cats for you to meet and mingle with. many that are not yet on our website. This will be their debut!

Brioche & Rye had a little updated photo session this week and wanted you to know that they are still looking for their forever home together. They are one‑year‑old bonded tortoiseshell sisters who rely on each other for comfort, confidence, and companionship. Two terrific torties together forever.

Brioche is the curious long haired beauty — playful, observant, and always interested in whatever you’re doing. She has a charming, unique meow and enjoys gentle affection.

Rye is one of the cutest cats ever. She’s incredibly playful, purrs constantly, and brings joyful energy to every room. While she doesn’t love being picked up just yet, she happily climbs onto you after a long play session to settle in for cuddles.

Together, they enjoy wand toys, laser pointers, jingly toys, tunnels, window perches, and cozy nooks. Their energy level is moderate, and they can self‑entertain while still being wonderfully companionable. Pop over to our website to see them enjoying a little BFF wrestle session!

They do well with gentle children, are indifferent to dogs, and thrive in homes with a comfortable level of activity. They may need a couple of weeks to adjust, but once they do, they’ll sleep on your bed, snuggle close, and become part of your daily rhythm.

Axel is ready for adoption! He has already overcome more than most cats ever will. You may recall his story from our previous post on July 21st. After he was rescued from the street, he was being sneaky one evening when his foster family was asleep and injured himself while trying to get into the treat drawer. The result was distal fractures in his tibia and fibula, as well as some additional small hairline fractures. As a result, his rear leg was amputated. His recovery has been swift and successful. At just a year and a half old, this brave tripod boy has a spark that never goes out. With routine, kindness, and gentle voices, that spark has grown into confidence, curiosity, and affection. We are thrilled!

Today, Axel is a playful, silly, food‑loving companion who trots around on three legs like it’s no big deal. He snuggles close, rubs against you, enjoys belly rubs, and happily sleeps on your bed. He’s vocal when he wants attention, and he’ll proudly “help” you keep track of mealtimes.

He thrives with enrichment: wand toys, springs, jingly toys, trackballs, cardboard scratchers, window perches — anything that keeps his mind and body engaged. He can self‑entertain, but he also loves bonding through play.

Axel needs a calm home with older kids and adopters who understand that trust takes time. He also requires small meals spread throughout the day and some pain management medications that he happily eats in a treat.

Axel has been through so much but he is ready to move on and make the most of life (and mealtime). If you’re ready to open your heart to a very special boy with endless love to give, Axel is ready too.

We need YOU!! Ms. Stinky needs YOU!!

Ms. Stinky is set for her vet appt next Wednesday and will have her expenses covered thanks to all who generously donated! It has been discovered that she might be older than first thought. Our 14 year old young lady could be as old as 17! The vet will verify and give us a more concrete answer.

Aside from her golden age she is ridiculously friendly, loves company, purrs very easily and lets you know when she wants to be pet - but she’s spending her days alone, being fed by a kind neighbor.

She doesn’t need much. Just a safe room, a soft bed, and someone who will shower her with love and let her live out her remaining months or years with comfort and dignity.

Senior cats don’t ask for much… but they give so much back.

If you have room in your heart and home, you could be the one who makes her final chapter her best one. This would not be a temp foster situation where other people would try and adopt her. We are trying to find her a place to call home ASAP to minimize her stress levels.

She’s friendly, adventurous, and LOVES to play with wands, rattly mice, jingly toys, and anything catnip. When she’s done zooming, she becomes a total snuggler who rubs against you, follows you, and happily accepts all the pets.

Moomoo does great in active homes, enjoys other cats, and loves high perches, window seats, cozy couches, and sunny spots. She adapts quickly and is ready to bring joy, cuddles, and nonstop entertainment to her new family.
