🐋🎨 From Whale Bones to Art: Turning a Loss Into a Lesson of Hope 🌊💙

A little over a month ago, a whale washed ashore on our beach. It was a heartbreaking reminder of how fragile nature can be, and it also gave us a chance to create something meaningful for the children we serve.

Over the past few weeks, we carefully collected and preserved some of the whale's bones. Recently, our wonderful local artist, Liz, and our founder, Bruno, spent the day cleaning and preparing them for a very special project. 🖌️✨

In the coming weeks, Baja Angels of the Sea will host a series of art classes where the children turn these bones into one-of-a-kind pieces they can keep for life. Alongside the art, the kids will take a short class on ocean awareness, marine conservation, and why protecting whales and our oceans matters. 🌎🐋💙
Some of life's best lessons come from bringing creativity, learning, and nature together.

🐋🎨 De Huesos de Ballena a Arte: Convertir una Pérdida en una Lección de Esperanza 🌊💙

Hace poco más de un mes, una ballena llegó a nuestra playa. Fue un recordatorio muy triste de lo frágil que es la naturaleza, y también nos dio la oportunidad de crear algo significativo para los niños que apoyamos.

Durante las últimas semanas, recogimos y preservamos con cuidado algunos huesos de la ballena. Hace poco, nuestra querida artista local Liz y nuestro fundador Bruno pasaron el día limpiándolos y preparándolos para un proyecto muy especial. 🖌️✨

En las próximas semanas, Baja Angels of the Sea ofrecerá una serie de clases de arte en las que los niños convertirán estos huesos en piezas únicas que podrán conservar toda la vida. Además del arte, los niños tomarán una breve clase sobre el cuidado del océano, la conservación marina y por qué es importante proteger a las ballenas y nuestros mares. 🌎🐋💙

Over the past few weeks, we carefully collected and preserved some of the whale’s bones. Yesterday, Liz, our incredible local artist, and I spent the day cleaning and preparing them for a very special project. 🖌️✨

In the coming weeks, Baja Angels of the Sea will host a series of art classes where the children will transform these whale bones into unique works of art that they can keep as a lifelong memory. Along with the art project, the kids will also participate in a short educational class focused on ocean awareness, marine conservation, and the importance of protecting whales and our beautiful oceans. 🌎🐋💙

We believe that some of life’s greatest lessons come from connecting creativity, education, and nature together.

Today I had the pleasure of visiting the children at Rancho La Hermosa Orphanage with my friend Vini, who joined me as we delivered donations and spent some quality time with the kids. 😊

🏄‍♂️🌊 First Surf Camp of the Summer — What a Success! 🌊🏄‍♀️

This weekend, Baja Angels of the Sea proudly hosted our first Surf Camp of the summer, in collaboration with Dustin, Jess, and the amazing organization « Sal y Roca ». Be sure to check them out on Facebook! ❤️

A total of 22 kids enjoyed an unforgettable day of surfing, fun, friendship, and adventure, followed by a delicious lunch. Seeing the smiles, confidence, and excitement on the kids’ faces made all the hard work worthwhile.

A huge thank you to Dustin, Jess, the entire Sal y Roca team, and all the volunteers who helped make this special day possible. 🙏🏄‍♂️
