Mid-june, Len Morris & Jake Logan will attempt the world record of most landings in a 24hr period. And every touchdown they make will help fund STAY Indiana — a teen airplane build program inspiring the next generation of aviators right here in Indiana.

Girls will have the exciting opportunity to:
• Meet and talk with real women in aviation
• Land an airplane on a certified flight simulator
• Ride in an actual airplane
• Help build real airplane parts

Updates!
We are offering a NEW race experience October 17, the Airport Night to Light 5K where you will watch the sunrise while out on the runway in Goshen. [ Did you know they had a municipal airport? ]

Airport Night to Light 5K benefits Stay Indiana which provides access and inroads to the aviation field for high schoolers- as pilots, mechanics and airport workers!

Also, we are letting go of two races this summer, including Rock the Quarry Triathlon and Mile Swim, and Rise n' Run 5K in Middlebury.

If you are interested in race directing or getting more involved behind the scenes, let us know! We can hook you up with training and race opportunities!

We are looking for folks who want to make a difference locally in the running community and some fabulous non-profits.

Both teen Zenith builds are moving forward with several updates. Avionics for both builds have been powered up and the panel design is getting finalized. LOTS of wires involved! We have windows/doors on at the Mishawaka pilots club build while the Goshen build they were working on the airplane lights. While other teens worked more on the tail and wings of the Zenith. Getting closer everyday to a flying airplane! #

The Ercoupe aircraft donated by Norbert Paas to STAY was moved to our new space at the South Bend Airport. Exciting new projects happening soon! Thanks to the Cuthberts for helping us move the planes.

The Goshen build has received their avionics from Advanced Avionics. Thanks to , , and EAA chapter 938 the teen airplane build will have Dynon Avionics in the plane!

Last week was very busy with attending JA Spark Career fair where over 4,000 students attended. Hundreds of students were able to land an airplane on our flight simulator provided by Views on Learning. Goshen High school also sent students everyday to tour the Goshen airport to learn more about the new CTE program they’ll have access to next fall and the Boys & Girls club airplane build. Which included Discovery flights provided by New Horizons.Lots of opportunities here in Indiana with aviation! airport

Thanks to New Horizon flight school, STAY students were able to take Discovery flights at the Goshen airport. This was the first opportunity for some of the students to start logging flight time towards their pilot certificate! This was also the first opportunity for some STAY families to see the BGC of Elkhart County airplane build in Goshen. ✈️

Thanks to the support of Views on Learning, our students at the Mishawaka Pilots Club are now flying our BATD flight simulator, giving them the opportunity to practice real-world aviation skills in a safe and controlled environment. These students recently were able to log actual flight time with the flight simulator, helping kickstart their pilot training!
