The goal of Elkhart High School Dollars for Scholars is to award scholarships to as many qualified senior applicants as our funds allow.

These scholarships pay for two- or four-year college/university or vocational school. Elkhart High School Dollars for Scholars is a local, community-based organization and a program of Scholarship America. It was established in1992 to raise funds for the awarding of scholarships to graduating Elkhart High School seniors. As of 2021, Elkhart High School Dollars for Scholars (Former Elkhart Central and Elkhart Memorial Dollars for Scholars chapters merged in 2020) has awarded more than 3,597 scholarships totaling over $2.8 million and has established an endowment fund through the Community Foundation of Elkhart County. Dollars for Scholars chapters like ours help high school students achieve their educational goals by raising scholarship funds, establishing endowments, and distributing scholarships each year.

EHS Lion Seniors…. Dollars for Scholars scholarship applications go live February 1! They will remain open until 11:59 p.m. on February 28. After that, you can no longer apply.

You can begin/complete your profile and essays now. Just be sure to go back to the website between February 1 and February 28 to see what scholarships you qualify for and to submit your application to those scholarships.

Scholarships are for college, trade school, or certification programs.

Elkhart High School seniors. Community Foundation of Elkhart County has their universal scholarship application (one application, many scholarships) open now through March 1.

The Foundation has many scholarships available. Be sure to apply for this after you complete your Dollars for Scholats application!
