We finished up our Culinary Camp yesterday. We partnered with Gates County 4-H to offer a cuisine around the world week! 17 youth got to learn about food safety, Knife safety, and foods from around the world. Youth got to cook stir-fry, dumplings, rainbow wraps, fajitas, quesadillas, hamburgers, rice, fried rice, guacamole, charcoal pizza, fruit salad and a few more!! You can tell by the pictures the kids had a lot of fun and ate well!!

Pasquotank County 4-H finished up our Kids in the Garden program with local 3rd graders at J.C Sawyer and Northside Elementary! The students learned about soils and plant requirements! They also got to learn about Healthy living by eating more fruits and veggies as well as becoming more physical active!!

Pasquotank County 4-Hers were honored tonight by the Weeksville Lions Club. These youth were recognized for their exceptional work in exhibiting their animals at the Albemarle Area 4-H Livestock Show and Sale!! We are grateful for this partnerships that have been happening for over the past 50 years!

Had a fun time with Central Elementary school 5th grade students in their engineering challenge today. Students had to build and design and egg drop machine that would survive the drop!!!

Pasquotank County 4-Hers had a great weekend at the Northeast district 4-H Teen Retreat held in Columbia NC!! You were able to have workshop in leadership, community service, public speaking, team building and so much more. Youth were also able to participate in a money simulation program to teach them about budgeting. We were proud to have Rose Garrenton serve as our district Vice President this year!! Also congratulations to Lily Gatrenton on running for and winning her election for Reporter.
