Romeo's Annual Feed Bill is going to be larger than our other horses. Anything you can do to help will go a long way to keeping our boy healthy and happy so he can start to help others as a therapy horse!

Our first official retiree is here! Everyone, meet Romeo 💗 He is a 28 yr old Thoroughbred, and he is truly a gentle giant. He likes to move slow and gently lets you know if he's feeling uncomfortable. He loaded very well, even when the slant load was a little snug on his 16hh body, he was very careful and trusting through the whole process. He can still trot with the best of them when he wants to. He and his new herd were extremely curious of one another. Everyone is happily munching on welcome snacks: tiny piles of alfalfa 🌱 I am so excited to let him get settled and start working with him for !

We had our first volunteer day today. Just one volunteer was able to make it along with myself. Together, we were able to hand clear the cockleburs from just under an acre (EIGHT lawn clipping bags of those things. Literally thousands). Enough to get a new paddock set up to facilitate better rotational grazing to reinvigorate the grass.

Our newest member, Romeo, was due to arrive this weekend but unfortunately due to the EHV outbreak, we've decided to hold off until things are a bit safer for our equine friends.

We're starting small, but this is just feeling so wonderful, to finally see this idea coming to fruition. I'm so grateful to our volunteer, Pam, I'm hoping she makes it to this page soon. I'm thinking you'll see a lot more from her with us in the coming months.
