Sadly the extreme heat is forcing us to postpone the historical ghost tour scheduled for this Saturday to September. ☀️🥴 Surely the weather will be cooler in a few weeks! We will post on our page when we get the new date scheduled.

The Fort Reno Visitors Center and Museum will be open Monday-Friday 10-4 this week. Come see us! The heat seems to be scaring off the historic ghost tour participants. Check back here at the end of the week to see if we have enough signed up for the tour. We pay for security so need enough to at least break even. :-)

With school getting ready to start, Historic Fort Reno goes back to non summer hours this week. We will be open Monday-Friday 10-4. If you are traveling Rt 66 on a Saturday and want to see some history, be sure to visit the Canadian County Historical Museum located in the old Rock Island Depot in El Reno. Also, we are having our next Historical Spirit tour August 22nd. Call or text 405-262-3987 to reserve a spot. $15 per person.

Historic Ft Reno Director Deb Kaufman and board member Paula Harman attended the Minco Historical Society meeting last night. Deb told the history of Ft Reno and heard some stories of some who had family members connected to Ft Reno. Thank you for inviting us !!!
