We were honored to dedicate the Buffalo Soldier markers in the post cemetery today. Thank you to Troopers Gregory Henry and Kevin Underdew of the Ft Sill 9th and 10th Calvary Buffalo Soldiers chapter for helping us with the dedication.

With school getting ready to start, Historic Fort Reno goes back to non summer hours this week. We will be open Monday-Friday 10-4. If you are traveling Rt 66 on a Saturday and want to see some history, be sure to visit the Canadian County Historical Museum located in the old Rock Island Depot in El Reno. Also, we are having our next Historical Spirit tour August 22nd. Call or text 405-262-3987 to reserve a spot. $15 per person.

Historic Ft Reno Director Deb Kaufman and board member Paula Harman attended the Minco Historical Society meeting last night. Deb told the history of Ft Reno and heard some stories of some who had family members connected to Ft Reno. Thank you for inviting us !!!
