Historic Ft Reno Director Deb Kaufman and board member Paula Harman attended the Minco Historical Society meeting last night. Deb told the history of Ft Reno and heard some stories of some who had family members connected to Ft Reno. Thank you for inviting us !!!

Thank you to all the Small Town Weekend cruisers and Rt 66 visitors tonight! Was fun seeing all of you! Remember tomorrow we start opening on Saturdays. We will be open 10-4. Come see us!

Tomorrow, Friday, June 5th, the El Reno Small Town Weekend Cruise will take place from 5-7 pm, featuring a scenic drive through Historic Fort Reno. In tandem, the Historic Fort Reno Visitors Center and the U.S. Cavalry Museum will operate extended hours, from 10 am to 7 pm. Admission to both facilities is complimentary from 5-7, although donations are welcome. Participants in the Car Cruise and Route 66 enthusiasts are invited to visit the museums and tour the historic fort.

We recently completed a long overdue project. The 14 Buffalo Soldiers buried in the Ft Reno Post Cemetery have been recognized with grave markers. Thank you to Dalton Nix at Oklahoma Tool and Machine for designing and creating them.
