Mission Possible: Oklahoma 4-H Health & Wellness Discovery Day
Registration is OPEN for the Oklahoma 4-H Health & Wellness Discovery Day! This year’s theme, Mission Possible, invites 4-H members in 6th grade and up, volunteers and parents to accept the mission of exploring health, wellness and future careers in health on Saturday, November 7, at the OSU Center for Health Sciences in Tulsa. Youth will tour the medical school, meet health professionals, and experience hands-on learning designed to help them discover the many possibilities in the health and wellness field.

Throughout the day, participants will practice CPR and chest compressions, explore human anatomy, try medical equipment, experience health careers through virtual reality, participate in a farm-to-fork nutrition activity, build a take-home wellness kit and learn from 4-H Healthy Living Ambassadors.

Registration is $20 and includes light morning refreshments, lunch, a T-shirt and workshop materials. The event is open to youth and adults, 6th grade and up, and registration closes October 30 at 5:00 p.m. Please encourage your 4-H families to register through ZSuites and join us for Mission Possible!

Our 4-Hers kicked off National 4-H Week by joining our County Commissioners for the reading of our proclamation!

We’re thankful for the continued support of our county government and excited for another year of leadership, service, and community engagement. Thank you to everyone who came out this morning to represent Canadian County 4-H!

Congratulations to all of our exhibitors who participated in the State Fair! All exhibits are now back at the Extension Office and ready to be picked up.

Exhibits can be picked up Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. over the next two weeks. Please make sure to pick up your projects by **Tuesday, October 13**. Any exhibits that have not been picked up by that date will be disposed of.

Great job, Canadian County 4-H! We are proud of all the hard work our 4-H’ers put into their projects, and we look forward to another great year of 4-H projects!

Do you know a high school junior or senior who might be interested in a career in Family and Consumer Sciences? Encourage them to Say YES to FCS!

Join us October 29 from 8:30 a.m.–12:00 p.m. at Oklahoma State University in Stillwater. Students will tour the College of Education and Human Sciences, learn about the college application process and funding opportunities, and explore careers as FCS classroom teachers and county Extension educators.

Space is limited, and registration is required.

📚 Say Yes to FCS Education Day

High school juniors and seniors interested in a career in Family and Consumer Sciences Education or Extension are invited to attend Say Yes to FCS Education Day at Oklahoma State University on Thursday, Oct. 29. Participants will tour the facilities, learn about the application process and funding for college, and explore career pathways.

The event is open to students who have not previously attended Say Yes to FCS Education Day and is limited to 5 students and 1 teacher per school, FCCLA chapter or 4-H club. Registration is free, and lunch will be provided. Register by Oct. 1 or until all spots are filled. Space is limited.
