Hope Lives Here Community Conversation
💙 Hope lives here—and community connection matters.

Thank you to the Mid Shore Su***de Coalition and everyone who helped make last night’s “Hope Lives Here” community conversation at Centreville Methodist Church possible. The event brought Queen Anne’s County residents together to discuss su***de prevention and mental health support across the lifespan.

The evening included an overview of existing su***de prevention initiatives, a panel featuring community representatives and subject matter experts, and small-group discussions. Participants explored local resources, community concerns, successful prevention efforts, and areas needing additional support. Local resources were also available to take home.

Santé’s Tracy Peterson, a Mobile Response Stabilization Service Clinician, served on the panel. We’re grateful for the opportunity to be part of a community conversation centered on hope, connection, and support.

This is part of a planned series of community conversations across the five Mid-Shore counties. Together, we can build a community where people feel heard, supported, and connected to help.

📚 Inspiring a Love of Reading, One Book at a Time! 📚

The Rotary Club of Easton is proud to support children's literacy through their annual Books for 3rd Graders program and other community reading initiatives.

Each year, Rotarians visit Talbot County schools during their book fairs to give every third-grade student the opportunity to choose a book of their own to keep, free of charge. Every gifted book includes a special Rotary bookplate, making it a lasting reminder of the power of reading.

Beyond sharing books, Rotarians also talk with students about Rotary's guiding motto, “Service Above Self,” and the importance of giving back to their communities.

Pictured with the third-grade Country School students on Thursday, October 29 are Dina Daly (BAAM), Kathy Hanna (Santé), and Christine DuFour, Attorney at Law.

Santé in the Community: Salisbury Outreach Weekend

This past weekend, a Santé Mobile Crisis Team was proud to connect with neighbors and community across Salisbury. Mobile Crisis Specialist Denise Winder and Intern Demitria Howard shared rack cards and information about Santé’s services, helping raise awareness of the support available in our community.

Our team joined two meaningful local events:
• Women 4 Women Domestic Violence Support Group’s 2nd Annual Walk to Remember — a free, family-friendly 5K at Salisbury City Park.
• Women Supporting Women’s Walk for Awareness at the Centre at Salisbury — honoring breast cancer survivors and remembering those we have lost to the disease.

We’re grateful for the opportunity to show up, build connections, and support these important causes. We also extend our appreciation to every participant, organizer, survivor, advocate, family member, and community supporter who helped make these events meaningful. Together, we can continue raising awareness, honoring those impacted, and strengthening our community. 💙

Spooktacular Community Outreach at Beaver Run!

Our Wicomico and Somerset MRSS teams had a fantastic time representing Santé at Beaver Run Elementary School’s annual Trunk-or-Treat event on Friday, October 23, 2026! McKayla and Peaches joined the Halloween fun in their ghost costumes while connecting with students, families, and community partners.

Santé joined the Wicomico County Sheriff’s Office and other neighboring organizations in decorating vehicle trunks, handing out candy, and sharing helpful information with families. It was a fun and memorable evening for the entire Beaver Run community!

Celebrating Community at The Crab Claw

Yesterday, we enjoyed the Talbot County Chamber Mixer at the iconic Crab Claw in St. Michaels, Maryland, as the restaurant wraps up its 61st and final season.

It was a wonderful celebration of the friendships, milestones, and meals shared throughout its six decades in business. We had a great time reconnecting with old friends, meeting new ones, and enjoying delicious food.

Learn, Connect, and Build Capacity

What an awesome meeting yesterday with the Lower Shore Eastern Shore Nonprofit Circle at United Way of the Lower Eastern Shore!

A big thank-you to Dr. Lili Leonard for sharing her wisdom, energy, and fundraising expertise. She led an engaging session on end-of-year appeals and the holiday giving season, offering valuable insights to help local nonprofits strengthen their fundraising efforts.

Dr. Leonard is a career fundraising professional who believes in the transformative power of small- and mid-sized nonprofit organizations—and we are grateful she shared that passion with our circle.

It is amazing to sit in a space where nonprofit leaders can learn, connect, and build capacity together.
