But the job’s not done, and we’re going to work together to continue helping those seeking recovery.

June is Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) Awareness Month. PTSD can develop after experiencing or witnessing a traumatic event. While everyone responds to trauma differently, persistent symptoms such as flashbacks, nightmares, difficulty sleeping, feeling constantly on edge, or avoiding reminders of the event may be signs that additional support is needed.

Recovery is possible. Effective treatments and support can help people heal and regain a sense of safety and wellbeing.

Learn more about the signs, symptoms, and pathways to recovery in our PTSD Fact Sheet:https://www.mhamd.org/wp-content/uploads/2019/10/PTSD-Fact-Sheet-2020.pdf
