One of the things that makes our 8 to 80 Zone so special is the ongoing support from Steve Young and Jerry Rice through the Forever Young Foundation. Their partnership helps ensure our students have access to current technology and a learning environment that continues to evolve.

This summer, we're excited to be refreshing the lab with:

• New Meta Quest 3 headsets
• New monitors for every desktop workstation
• Brand-new rugs throughout the space

When students return this fall, the 8 to 80 Zone will be ready to inspire another year of exploration, creativity, and hands-on learning.

Did you know The.Circuit is home to the East Palo Alto 8 to 80 Zone?

The 8 to 80 Zone is a collaboration between Steve Young ( #8) and Jerry Rice ( #80), designed to provide youth in under-resourced communities access to industry-leading technology, mentorship, and hands-on learning experiences.

At the 8 to 80 Zone, students explore virtual reality, coding, graphic design, game development, AI, and more while building skills that prepare them for future opportunities in technology and media.

Over the next few weeks, we’ll be sharing more about the 8 to 80 Zone and the incredible experiences happening inside this one-of-a-kind space at Cesar Chavez Ravenswood Middle School.

We were incredibly honored to welcome Her Royal Highness Crowned Princess Sinaitakala Tuʻimatamoana ʻi Fanakavakilangi Fakafānua of Tonga to The.Circuit EPA alongside Ravenswood Superintendent Gina Sudaria, RCSD Director of Technology and The.Circuit board member Solomon Hill, The.Circuit board member Losaline Kofutua, School Board Members Mele K. Latu and Samuel Tavera, and members of the Tongan delegation.

Her Royal Highness is deeply interested in technology, innovation, and bridging the digital divide, which made the visit especially meaningful for our students and team. We had the opportunity to share how immersive technology, AI, and hands-on learning are helping open new doors for students here in East Palo Alto.

We are grateful for the time, conversation, and shared commitment to expanding access and opportunity for young people through education and innovation.

WE DID IT! 🎉

Yesterday's 100 × 100 Challenge was INCREDIBLE. We didn't just hit 100 donors. We crushed it with 110 donations totaling over $12,400 (and with the $10K match, that's $22,400!).

91 of these donors were brand new to The.Circuit.

To our community: You showed up. You shared. You rallied your friends, family, and every group text you've ever been in.

This is what happens when a community believes in the power of tech education for East Palo Alto students.
