WE DID IT! 🎉

Yesterday's 100 × 100 Challenge was INCREDIBLE. We didn't just hit 100 donors. We crushed it with 110 donations totaling over $12,400 (and with the $10K match, that's $22,400!).

91 of these donors were brand new to The.Circuit.

To our community: You showed up. You shared. You rallied your friends, family, and every group text you've ever been in.

This is what happens when a community believes in the power of tech education for East Palo Alto students.

In East Palo Alto, every Ravenswood middle school student now has access to hands-on technology learning through The.Circuit EPA’s 8 to 80 Zone innovation lab. Students are stepping into VR headsets, creating digital projects, and building skills that will shape their futures.

Teachers are using new tools to make learning more interactive and accessible for every student.

We just launched our first-ever Sponsor-a-Thon to expand these opportunities and keep innovation alive in Ravenswood. Every contribution helps open doors for students who deserve access to the same opportunities as their Silicon Valley neighbors.

We were honored to host California Assemblymember Marc Berman, San Mateo County Supervisor Lisa Gauthier, Ravenswood School Board Member Mele K. Latu, and Ravenswood Superintendent Gina Sudaria, who joined Circuit Board Member Solomon Hill for a tour of the 8 to 80 Zone at the.Circuit.

Together, we’re putting Ravenswood on the map, showcasing what’s possible when innovation, education, and community come together.

Last week, our 7th grade social studies students stepped into history through an immersive 9/11 virtual reality experience.

Over 100 students from five classes explored the extraordinary story of Genelle Guzman-McMillan, the last survivor rescued from the rubble at Ground Zero.

Through a 360° VR environment, students saw the World Trade Center in a way that made history feel real. One student shared:
"Experiencing it through VR allowed me to feel the emotions, to understand the story, and the tragedy of what happened. I felt like I was there, and it made me feel for the families and the responders and survivors."

This is the power of immersive learning, building empathy, connection, and understanding far beyond the pages of a textbook. We are proud of our students for leaning in and engaging with such depth.
