What a terrific meeting we had today! With beautiful summer weather finally arriving in Mid-Michigan, it was wonderful to see such a large turnout and so many smiling faces!
By the Numbers – June 22 Meeting:
• 23 members in attendance
• 10 guests
• 33 total attendees
Thank you to everyone who joined us for what was one of our best-attended meetings of the year!
One of the highlights of today's meeting was the opportunity to welcome so many guests. A special thank-you to Kathy Parrish, who traveled from Florida and joined us for lunch. We were also pleased to welcome former chief meteorologist on ABC's Detroit, Michigan affiliate, WXYZ-TV Jerry Hodak, along with several members of local law enforcement and K-9 officers who attended in support of today's program. We hope each of our guests enjoyed learning more about Kiwanis and the work we do throughout our community. You are always welcome back!
Speaker Spotlight:
Our speaker today was Richard Doerer, President of K9 MedTech, who delivered a fascinating presentation about the important role working dogs play in law enforcement, public safety, and specialized detection work. Richard's passion for the field was evident throughout the presentation, and attendees had the unique opportunity to learn more about the training, technology, and partnerships that support these remarkable animals and their handlers.
A special thank-you to Richard and everyone who participated in making today's presentation one of the most engaging programs we've enjoyed this year.
