Meridian Senior Center is looking for Program Assistant!

This position is employed through EDUStaff, a third-party educational staffing provider, and assigned to support the Senior Center in partnership with the Township and School District.

This person serves as the first point of contact for members and guests while supporting daily Senior Center operations. This role provides administrative, program, and customer service support, and contributes to marketing, events, and community engagement. Acts as a welcoming ambassador for the Senior Center and an advocate for older adults.

This position supports a collaborative partnership between Meridian Township and Okemos Public School District.

This is an ideal role for someone who enjoys building relationships, supporting community programs, and contributing to a welcoming, service-oriented environment.

Michigan senior centers are making connections out West! 💙✋

MASC President Kim Phillips and Vice President Stephanie Moore are representing Michigan this week at the Montana Governor’s Conference on Aging in beautiful Kalispell, Montana.

Kim had the opportunity to present “Fundraising that Fits,” sharing practical strategies and lessons learned with aging professionals from across Montana.

Beyond presenting, Kim and Stephanie are connecting with colleagues, exchanging ideas, and bringing home new perspectives that can strengthen senior centers and aging services right here in Michigan.

One of the best parts of this work is realizing that whether we’re in Michigan or Montana, senior centers are tackling many of the same challenges—and there’s a lot we can learn from one another.

We’re proud to see MASC representing Michigan, building relationships, and contributing to the conversation about the future of senior centers! 🌲➡️✋
