We recently held our membership mixer, Exquisite Co**se, and what a fun-filled night of laughter and creativity it was! Thanks to all the artists and onlookers who joined us, and shout out to Sleepwalker for sharing their space and serving us delicious food and drinks. Also special thanks to Dylan Rogers at The Robin for his partnership and cross promotion. We love all of our arts community and the way they come together and support each other.

The deadline for the $75,000 Arts Impact Project letter of intent is Oct. 16, 2026! Send a simple letter outlining your idea to membership and program manager Taylor Haslett, and she will review them for basic eligibility. Happy Indigenous Peoples' Day! What a perfect day for the dedication of the beautiful "Niswi Ishkoden," (Three Fires) sculpture, recently installed on the Downtown Lansing Community College Campus. The piece honors the Seven Grandfather Teachings of the Anishinaabek: Love, Respect, Bravery, Truth, Honesty, Humility, and Wisdom, and was created in consultation with Indigenous community leaders. We highly recommend you go see it and enjoy all the other art and gardens on the campus!

Our board of directors is a fantastic bunch of humans who do so much behind the scenes to support our work. Today we want to honor Julie Pingston and Rachel Elsinga, who have both come to the end of their board terms. We really hate to see them go. We are so grateful for their generous years of service (collectively over 20 years!) as board members and advocates for arts and culture in our region.
