Thank you Positive Somebody for joining our club lunch today. Our members learned about the many ways you are helping kids understand emotions and how to navigate them. The hands on toolkit for kids is a great idea! We like the hoodies and tee shirts. Very positive messaging. Learn more about their organization by visiting the website: www.positivesomebody.org

Thank you to Zonta Club East Lansing Area for having our director, Jenny, present our mission at your meeting. We appreciate the opportunity to spread the awareness of learning positive coping skills.

Thank you Michigan Anti-Trafficking Project for joining us at our monthly membership meeting today. We gained a better understanding of the projects they are working on and how to get involved. Our group learned more about the different forms of human trafficking. We have district club members involved in their label program for rest stop restrooms. Link to their website below

Zonta International responds to U.S. withdrawal from multilateral institutions

Zonta International expresses its concern and disappointment in the decision by the Government of the United States to withdraw from, or disengage with, a number of key international organizations, conventions and treaties established under the auspices of the United Nations and the broader multilateral system.

Gender equality and inclusion is not optional. It is fundamental to justice, security and sustainable progress. We call on global leaders to uphold their international commitments and strengthen—rather than retreat from—the multilateral institutions that safeguard our shared future.

Thank You Bobby Hoffman and FOX 47 for featuring us on the “Good Neighbor“ segment this holiday season. Our Thanksgiving food basket has been a project our club has been doing for many years. This past November and December, Haven House was the recipient of the food baskets and then in December, holiday gifts for the families they serve.

East Lansing’s chapters of Zonta International and Kiwanis Club teaming up, side by side, packing Thanksgiving baskets for families served by Haven House.
