and Thank you to Michelle Cieslak from EBHS for applying for this Speech-Language Materials Grant in Febrauary!

As language demands increase in complexity during secondary education, students with speech and language impairments require targeted, evidence-based materials to access the curriculum, participate meaningfully in class, and develop essential life skills. These Grant funds allowed for the purchase of materials for the Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to utilize during individualized and small-group instruction aligned with students' IEP goals and state academic standards.👏

🔔Another Grant in Action for your Tuesday Morning!

EBHS AP Literature Students were granted tickets to "Fences" at Playhouse 22 by the EBEF. "Fences" by August Wilson, explores family, race, social class, dreams and has been part of the AP Literature curriculum for ten years.

🥰Few things are more inspiring in an English class than experiencing a live
performance of a piece of literature that they have studied or will study in class.

Excited to share this Grant in Action from Central Elementary School: Aurthor and Illustrator Visit!

This grant brought NJ's own award-winning author Anna Kang and Illustrator Christopher Weyant to Central! The creators of "You are (Not) small, That's (Not) Mine" provided a school-wide literacy experience that strengthen the culture of reading, writing, creativity, and joy!
