We are a non-profit organization, and our mission is to respond to the current crisis and help Ukrainian refugees who come into the central NJ area and ship humanitarian aid to Ukraine. We directly support Ukrainian Refugees regardless of status with:
-Furniture and bedding

-Hygiene Items and Food
We partnered with doctors and attorneys to assist with legal a

dvice and medical needs. We are working with an NJ Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics to provide support for refugee children who have experienced trauma due to War in Ukraine. We have helped several dozen refugee families in the NY, NJ, and PA areas in the past seven months and continue to help many more. We sent over 50 tons of humanitarian aid to Ukraine via a carefully vetted and tested network of volunteers and non-profit organizations.

🇺🇸🇺🇦 A major step forward for Ukraine.

The U.S. House of Representatives has passed the Ukraine Support Act, H.R. 2913 — an important piece of legislation aimed at strengthening support for Ukraine and increasing pressure on Russia.

Leonid Foundation is proud to have taken an active part in discussions surrounding this and other Ukraine-related legislation during our meetings with Members of Congress and their staff. We remain in ongoing contact with our representatives and continue working together to advocate for Ukraine, Ukrainian refugees, and long-term support for victory and recovery.

As a proud member of the American Coalition for Ukraine, Leonid Foundation stands alongside organizations, advocates, volunteers, and constituents across the country who continue to raise their voices for Ukraine.

This work takes time, persistence, and dedication — but moments like this remind us why it matters.

We thank everyone who called, wrote, met with offices, and helped push this effort forward.

The work is not over. The Senate must now act.

📞 Please thank your Representatives who supported the Ukraine Support Act.
📞 Then contact your Senators and urge them to move this legislation forward without delay.

Our work continues. 🇺🇦

As another massive attack on Ukraine unfolds tonight, we are asking everyone who stands with Ukraine to take one simple action.

Please call your U.S. Representative and urge them to support H.R. 2913, the Ukraine Support Act.

The vote is expected to take place in the House this week, with key votes beginning on Wednesday and a final vote anticipated on Thursday.

Russia’s war machine is funded by revenues from major state-controlled energy companies, including Gazprom and Rosneft. These revenues help sustain the war and the network responsible for the abduction of Ukrainian children.

The fate of this legislation may come down to a handful of votes—and a handful of constituent calls.

Find your Representative:
https://www.house.gov/representatives/find-your-representative

Tell them:

“As your constituent, I urge Representative [Name] to support H.R. 2913, the Ukraine Support Act.”

Please act today. Every call matters. Every voice matters. Ukraine and Ukraine’s children are counting on us.

Today is International Children’s Day.

For many of us, childhood brings memories of family, friends, summer vacations, and feeling safe.

For millions of Ukrainian children, those memories are being replaced by air raid sirens, displacement, trauma, and uncertainty. Thousands of children remain separated from their families after being abducted by Russia.

Children are often the forgotten victims of war. They shouldn’t be.

At Leonid Foundation, we believe helping children heal is one of the most important things we can do—not just for today, but for Ukraine’s future.

Last night, Kyiv lived through another night of missiles, drones, sirens, and explosions.

Somewhere in the city, a 12-year-old girl was hiding in an underground parking garage with her friends during a sleepover.

A night that should have been filled with pajamas, snacks, whispered secrets, and childhood laughter turned into a night underground — listening to the sounds of war above them.

A parking structure about 1.5 km away was hit by two rockets. The strike went through two underground levels. Even hiding underground no longer feels safe.

This is the childhood children in Ukraine are being forced to live.

Childhood stolen by war.

At Leonid Foundation, we cannot look away. We continue to stand with Ukraine’s children — with those living through daily attacks, trauma, displacement, and fear — and we remain committed to helping them heal.

Because no child should grow up measuring the night by sirens, explosions, and the hope of surviving until morning.

Today, we celebrate Vyshyvanka Day — a celebration of Ukrainian culture, identity, strength, and heritage. 💙💛

A vyshyvanka is more than embroidery. Every pattern carries history, traditions, and the spirit of generations before us.

This year, we invite you not only to wear a vyshyvanka proudly, but also to support a meaningful cause. We are sharing photos of beautiful vyshyvankas available through Leonid Foundation. Proceeds help support our humanitarian and community initiatives supporting Ukraine and Ukrainian families.

If you see one you love, send us a message for details and availability. ✨

And of course — post your own vyshyvanka photos in the comments! Let’s fill today with Ukrainian colors, culture, and pride. 🇺🇦

💙 On May 1, our Her Power event became more than a beautiful evening — it became real support for children in Ukraine.

Together, we raised $7,000 for psychological rehabilitation programs for children affected by the war. Part of the proceeds will support KinderVelt, a network of children’s charitable centers in Ukraine providing free professional therapeutic assistance to children suffering from post-traumatic stress and war-related trauma.

KinderVelt uses advanced therapeutic methods, including approaches developed in Israel through years of experience helping children and adults affected by terror attacks and shelling. Their programs include psychological support, clinical psychologist sessions, art therapy, and individual consultations based on each child’s needs.

Today, we are sharing a special thank-you video from Ukraine, expressing gratitude to everyone who helped make this support possible.

Thank you to every guest, donor, sponsor, and friend who stood with us. Because of you, children in Ukraine will receive care, healing, and hope. 💙💛

A very special thank you to Olena Tulman for organizing such an incredible and meaningful event and helping turn compassion into real support for children in Ukraine.

Our mission continues. If you would like to support Leonid Foundation’s ongoing humanitarian and rehabilitation efforts for children and families affected by the war in Ukraine, tax-deductible donations can be made here:

Kyiv tonight.

In just the last 24 hours, Russia has launched more than 1,000 drones across Ukraine.
And as of today, air raid alerts and attacks have reached as far as Uzhhorod — a city in far western Ukraine near the Slovakian and Hungarian borders, long considered one of the safest and furthest points from the front lines.

Another night of sirens, explosions, destroyed homes, injured civilians, and families forced to sleep in shelters instead of their beds.

For Ukrainians, this is not “breaking news.”
This is daily life.

Our hearts are with every family in Ukraine tonight — with the children woken by sirens, the parents trying to stay strong, the elderly sheltering in fear, and all those who continue to endure the unimaginable.

Ukraine continues to stand — with courage, dignity, and hope. 🇺🇦
