Happy VJ Day!!!

September 2, 1945 (Formal Surrender): The official, legal surrender documents were signed aboard the battleship USS Missouri (BB-63) anchored in Tokyo Bay. General Douglas MacArthur signed on behalf of the Allied Powers, Fleet Admiral Chester Nimitz signed for the United States, and Foreign Minister Mamoru Shigemitsu and General Yoshijirō Umezu signed for Japan.

Our Post member Diamond Taylor coordinated and led the effort of sending personal hygiene products and snacks to our brave warriors from the 55th Sustainment Brigade serving our great nation over seas. Great work Diamond!!!
