The AATCC Student chapter at Ahsanullah University of Science and Technology (AUST) held their ‘Texathon’ conference in August, welcoming over 1000 students, educators, university dignitaries, and industry executives. Over 500 students from 60+ universities and polytechnic schools across Bangladesh attended the day-long event, participating in a job fair, engineering and innovation research/poster competitions, a fashion show, and closing ceremony. The research competition included student projects in fabric structure analysis, textile art, business case study analysis, a textile quiz, and more. Texathon’s fashion show highlighted student collections, sustainable garment concepts, and ready-to-wear fashions. Such an amazing event!

Students in AATCC’s University of Delaware chapter opened the school year with a fantastic meeting and mending/upcycling workshop. AATCC President Christina Rapa journeyed to Newark to meet, mingle, and mend with student members during the event.
