🚒 Thank You to Our Fire Service Partners! 🚒

The Durant Fire Department would like to extend a sincere thank you to our neighboring agencies who assisted our department during President Trump’s recent visit to Durant.

We are grateful for the support and teamwork from Ardmore Fire Department, Sherman Fire-Rescue, Grayson County Airport Fire Department, Calera Fire Department, and the Oklahoma National Guard 63rd Civil Support Team.

We appreciate everyone who came together to help support our department and our community during this special visit. Your professionalism, teamwork, and willingness to assist are truly appreciated.

🚨 National Night Out is almost here! 🚒

The Durant Police Department and Durant Fire Department are getting ready for an evening of fun, family, and community connection!

Join us Tuesday, October 6, from 6–8 PM surrounding Durant City Hall.

We'll have food, games, activities, community resources, and plenty of opportunities to meet the officers and firefighters who serve Durant.

Bring the family and come hang out with us! 👮‍♂️🚒

Last week, the Ardmore Fire Department’s Region 3 CBRNE Hazardous Materials Technician Unit was requested to provide support for the rally in Durant, Oklahoma. 🇺🇸

AFD deployed 10 personnel and three apparatus, including our CBRNE Response Tractor & Trailer, Command Unit, and Utility Vehicle, to serve as the Hazardous Materials Response Branch for the operational period.

Our team had the privilege of working alongside the Durant Fire Department and the Oklahoma National Guard’s 63rd Civil Support Team in support of the event.

We are extremely thankful for the opportunity to serve alongside our regional partners and neighbors. Opportunities like this strengthen the relationships and coordination that allow us to work together when called upon.

It is always an honor and privilege to serve alongside our partners in service to our communities. 🚒

🔥 BURN BAN LIFTED 🔥

The burn ban has officially been lifted.

Outdoor burning is now permitted. Please continue to use caution and follow all local burning regulations when burning outdoors.

Even with the recent rain, we are still under a burn ban, which will be re-evaluated at the next County Commissioners Meeting

🔥 BURN BAN EXTENDED 🔥

The burn ban has been extended through October 12 at 9:00 a.m.

Please continue to avoid outdoor burning until the ban has been lifted. With dry conditions, even a small fire can quickly get out of control.
