Join us for the first booster club meeting of the year. This is a great way for parents to learn more about our organization and how the Friends of Durant FFA supports our Chapter.

Last week the Durant FFA Officer Team headed off to our annual FFA Officer Retreat! This year we went to Branson, Missouri!! We spent the week growing closer as an officer team, compiling our chapter program of activities for the year and having a blast! This group is ready and excited to kick the school year off and to be a leading light for all FFA members!!

Silver Dollar City was the highlight of the trip! We watched this whole group grow together all day! They mastered every ride there and we hung with them as much as we could! 😁

Our Goat exhibitors also had the chance to build their showmanship skills too! They spent 3 days at the Best Champ Goat Camp in Warner Oklahoma. These kids came a long ways in those days! They worked hard and grew not only as leaders but showmen! Early mornings and late nights of camp makes for a jam packed time with lots of memories and a great time of learning! Their skills will be put to the test over the next few months and we are excited for them to showcase them!

Our FFA member Emily Stanford made the trip to Louisiana this summer to compete in the Nation Jr. Santa Gertrudis Show!! This is a huge accomplishment for her and we are very proud of you representing our FFA chapter on a national level!

✔️The beginning and middle of June was all about Livestock ‼️
First up our Cattle Exhibitors attended Be A Champ Show Cattle Camp in Warner Oklahoma. This camp is a jammed packed 4 days of intense showmanship, clipping and fitting techniques and daily care of your animal! It’s awesome to see the transformation in each of these kids as they soak it all in!

Summer is flying by fast and our FFA members have been busy with many different activities throughout! We will be highlighting different events they have been doing strengthening their talents and knowledge in agriculture and education!

✔️First up is FFA Alumni Leadership Camp! Our chapter had 7 students attend 2 different sessions‼️ These students expanded their leadership skills and stepped out of their comfort zones. They interacted with the state FFA Officer Team, grew as leaders and are excited about the upcoming year!
