Stronger Fathers, Stronger Families✓

We are incredibly grateful to the Bryan County Sheriff’s Office for their partnership and for believing in the importance of investing in fathers, families, and our community.

We’re also incredibly proud of the men who lead our Fathers In Action Network. They bring more than a curriculum, they bring compassion, accountability, wisdom, and big hearts. They show up for these fathers, encourage them, challenge them, and remind them that their past does not have to define their future.

This work is about giving fathers the tools and support to become better men, better fathers, and stronger influences in their children’s lives.

Thank you, Sheriff Joey W. Tucker and the Bryan County Sheriff’s Office, for helping make this opportunity possible.

Stronger Fathers. Stronger Families. Stronger Communities.

The Bryan County Sheriff’s Office, in partnership with Youth Services of Bryan County, Inc and the Fathers In Action Network , is proud to support opportunities that can make a meaningful difference in the lives of the individuals in our custody, and, just as importantly, in the lives of their children.

Fathers In Action Network is a six-week program designed to strengthen and empower fathers to become positive role models and mentors, giving them tools to help build a better future for their children.

When someone is in our custody awaiting trial or sentencing, our responsibility goes beyond simply providing a secure place for them to stay. When appropriate, we believe in making productive programs available that can provide individuals with the knowledge, skills, and resources to better themselves while their cases move through the court system.

Programs like this do not change the circumstances that brought someone to jail, nor do they interfere with the judicial process. What they can do is provide an opportunity for someone to make better choices moving forward.

And sometimes that starts with something as fundamental as learning how to be a better father.

Children deserve a fighting chance. When it is safe, appropriate, and permitted, they deserve parents who understand the importance of being present, responsible, supportive, and involved in their lives.

If we can use someone’s time in our custody to help strengthen parenting skills, encourage personal responsibility, and give fathers tools they can carry home when their cases are resolved, then that is an opportunity worth providing.

Stronger fathers help build stronger families, and stronger families help build stronger communities.

💜 October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month. 💜

Domestic violence can affect anyone, and it doesn't always look the same. It can include physical, emotional, verbal, sexual, or financial abuse, as well as controlling behaviors.

This month, let’s work together to:
💜 Recognize the signs of abuse
💜 Support survivors without judgment
💜 Speak up against unhealthy and abusive behaviors
💜 Teach young people what healthy relationships look like
💜 Remind those who may be struggling that they are not alone

Everyone deserves to feel safe, respected, and valued in their relationships.

Let’s use our voices to raise awareness, support one another, and help build a community where healthy relationships are the standard.
