Don't worry, it's a milk snake, and it's totally harmless. No red, black, and yellow bands on this one. Our local version wears a gray-and-brown saddle pattern.

If you spot one, admire it and let it be. 🧡

It’s been a long time coming! 🏡 Our historic White House cedar shake rooftop is finally getting a much-needed cleaning, and our HEART students are getting a unique opportunity to see Four Mounds from a whole new perspective: up on a lift!

A big thank-you to J&R Rental for helping make this project possible! We’re grateful for local businesses that help us preserve this special place and create meaningful hands-on experiences for our students.

You never know what you’ll find on a rainy day in October! 🍄

Ishmael came across a rather impressive Chicken of the Woods mushroom and also spent some time building a perch for the crows, who might one day help keep an eye on our forthcoming chickens.

The changing leaves bring a little extra color to our historic grounds, reminding us why this place is worth preserving and sharing with the community.
