Monthly Meeting Location Update!

Due to the park being closed, tomorrow’s meeting will take place outside at a member’s home at 6:30 PM. Please send a direct message for the address and location details.

Update: Due to an unexpected delay in receiving materials, Comiskey Park’s reopening has been pushed to Sunday, Oct. 11. The additional time will allow the new playground surface to fully cure before the park reopens.

Comiskey Park Closure: Oct. 5–9

Heads up! Comiskey Park will be closed Monday, Oct. 5, through Friday, Oct. 9, while the colored top layer of the playground surface is replaced. The closure includes all park amenities, including the playground, splash pad, and park building.

What's happening? The colored top layer of the playground's rubber surface has deteriorated and needs to be replaced. The new layer will need 48 to 72 hours to cure before it's ready for play. The park is expected to reopen Saturday, Oct. 10.

The good news? The issue was related to installation, and the replacement is being completed under warranty at no cost to the City of Dubuque.
