Educators and staff across the district can apply for a grant and make impact on student learning?

The bus ride to school can be an influential moment - the ride itself can determine how a child arrives to school, ready to learn and able to self-regulate. Did you know that having a calming kit on the bus ride to school can support a child's ability to arrive ready to learn? Yes indeed!

Last year, district bus drivers developed a grant that did just that! Check out the continued impact on arriving to school, calm, self-regulated and ready to embrace learning!

Deep gratitude to COhatch Dublin community manager Jackie Hartenstein for taking such good care of all of us! She prepared a delicious lunch in honor of National Hamburger Day for all members today, allowing us to connect over food and sharing about what we do.

Kate Schwartz brings her work experience in HR at Crawford Hoying with her to our board, and is internally dedicated to helping our board ensure that our work is aligned with mission focus. As a former band parent, she also has a special interest in how we support the arts through our grants and enjoys watching grant impact unfold across the district.

Thank you, Kate, for your continued support through the Crawford Hoying Foundation. We look forward to our future DEF board progress as she begins work with our board strategic planning team. Together, we thrive!

Another DEF Grant In Action this Memorial Day from Dublin Scioto HS , giving honor to the fallen. Three student leaders, Zoe Lefferts, Maya Falco and Anna Norfleet, have all provided leadership with their teacher Mr. John Witt and service leadership through the Purple Star Club to work on projects with veterans and those who currently serve in our armed services.

Proud of our young people for stepping up to honor and respect!
