In a world screaming "BUY NOW," God whispers "wait with me." This Sunday we explored how hurry blinds us to God's voice and causes us to miss His way.

Proverbs 19:2 reminds us: "Desire without knowledge is not good. How much more will hasty feet miss the way?" When David had the chance to kill Saul in that cave, every loud voice said NOW. But he listened to the quiet whisper of God's conviction instead. He didn't miss his destiny by waiting—he became the kind of king worth remembering 3,000 years later.

The invitation isn't to do less, but to move differently. Before the quick decision, the rushed response, the urgent purchase—pause. Breathe. Ask: "What voice am I letting decide right now?" God works at the pace of eternity and formation. What He's forming IN you matters as much as where He's taking you.

This Sunday was one of those mornings we’ll remember for a long time.

We had the joy of watching four of our kids take the step of baptism—boldly declaring their faith and stepping into the story God is writing for them.

It’s moments like these that remind us what it means to be the church. To walk with each other. To celebrate every step of faith. To bear witness to new life.

I’m so thankful to be part of a church family that shows up, leans in, and celebrates the work God is doing in the next generation.

A Prayer for the Kerr County Flood Victims

Merciful God,�Our hearts are heavy with grief over the devastation in Kerr County.�We mourn for the lives lost, known and unknown, now held in Your eternal care. We lift up the families awaiting word, especially those missing the 23 precious girls— Lord, bring comfort in the waiting, and miracles in the searching. Surround those who’ve lost homes and livelihoods with your provision, and may your presence be near to the brokenhearted.

God of rescue and strength,�We pray for those risking everything to save others—�for search teams, first responders, and neighbors-turned-heroes.�Renew their strength; may they mount up with wings like eagles.�Let them not grow weary in their labor of love.�Give wisdom to leaders, clarity to coordinators, and courage to all who help. Where there is chaos, bring peace; where there is fear, bring calm.

Lord of hope and healing,�We ask for waters to recede and for dry ground to rise again.�Provide safe shelter, clean water, and food for all in need.�Rebuild not just homes but hearts, families, and futures.�Let love overflow in every act of aid and generosity.�Show us your power through protection, restoration, and unexpected grace.

Be our refuge and strength—our ever-present help in time of trouble.

🎆 **Happy Independence Day!** 🇺🇸

Today we celebrate the gift of freedom and the many blessings we enjoy in this country. As we gather with friends and family, light up the grill, and watch fireworks, we’re also grateful for the deeper freedom we have in Christ — a freedom that brings hope, peace, and purpose no matter our circumstances.

"Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom." — 2 Corinthians 3:17

Doubt isn’t the enemy of faith — it’s often where real faith begins. All throughout Scripture, people wrestled with questions, confusion, and uncertainty. And God met them there.

At Resonate, we don’t shy away from doubt. We make space for it. We even jump into it with you — not to hand out easy answers, but to walk with you on the journey.

So dust off your questions. Read things that stretch you. And join a church where we’re learning to live faithfully, even when we don’t have it all figured out.
