Hill Country Rally for Kids

Hill Country Rally for Kids As the Rally and the community grew, it became apparent that the needs of children in the community were growing as well.

15 years ago a group of local individuals decided to create a car and motorcycle show in Driftwood/Dripping Springs to support needy boys at a local residential treatment facility. The Burke Rally was been a tremendous success over its 6 year history raising a significant amount of support both financially and through personal involvement with the boys. Many children need financial support in orde

r to participate in extra-curricular activities, improve their education opportunities, have access to healthy food and good nutrition, and in some cases, proper clothing and sufficient healthcare. This ever-growing need weighed on the founders and prompted a discussion concerning the role and mission of the Rally. After much discussion, review and prayer, the founders have decided that the best course of action is to make the following changes to the mission and role of the Rally. First, more adequately describe the expanded role. Thus, the name of the Rally will be changed from the Burke Rally to The Hill Country Rally for Kids. Secondly, the beneficiaries of the Rally’s proceeds will be expanded beyond the boys residing at the Burke Center to include other local children’s programs and activities in which the majority of donations go directly to the children’s activities they define in their Bylaws. The Hill Country Rally for Kids is now incorporated and is a 501(c)3 charity. This year’s rally funds will benefit The Burke Center for Youth, Dripping Springs Youth Activity Fund, Dripping Springs Tiger Totes & this year we are adding Amber's Angels to our list of recipients. Other children’s programs may be considered as appropriate needs are identified.

As we navigate our current reality of finding more space, and the money to pay for it, by July 31st, we want to share with you what keeps us going: Knowing that we are making a difference for OUR KIDS! This graphic shows the impact of Feed Kids Right Now over the '25-'26 school year. We provided 295,000 meals between August and the end of May. That's almost 300,000 moments when kids in our community did not feel hungry. Friends, that is huge. And THAT is why our move has to happen. We can't feed 1600+ kids a week from somebody's garage or spare room.

And THAT is why we need you to be a part of our $60K in 60 Days campaign: So that we can continue to say YES to feeding OUR KIDS in Kyle, Buda, Uhland, Lockhart, Dripping Springs, and Austin. We are asking you to:
GIVE at this special link: https://give-usa.keela.co/dollar60k-in-60-days
CONNECT with a local business or community leader. If you see a business who is supporting local sports teams, they are our people.
SHARE with your network.

Nobody thinks kids should go hungry. This is our moment to not only keep doing what we are doing, but to do even more for OUR KIDS.
