Congratulations to our newest members and welcome to the Order of the Arrow!

The Order of the Arrow recognizes Scouts and who best exemplify the Scout Oath and Law in their daily lives. These members were elected by the youth members of their troops. While they’ve joined a larger fellowship of Scouts and Scouters, their first duty remains with their respective troop.

Arrowmen maintain camping traditions and spirit, promote year-round and long term resident camping, and provide cheerful service to others.

Tonight the Scouts finished their work repairing picnic tables at Dripping Springs Scout Camp while the adult volunteers mowed and performed tasks requiring power tools. The Scouts used reclaimed lumber from a building that used to stand on Main Street in Weatherford.

This weekend the Camp will host a day camp for Cub Scout Packs from across western Oklahoma. As the only camp in the council maintained completely by local volunteer Scouters, the servant leadership displayed by these volunteers year round is amazing.
