DOVER HIGH/MIDDLE SCHOOL FALL SPORTS STARTING DATES
Dover High/Middle School's Fall Sports Teams will begin practices and tryouts on and at the following dates and times
High School Start Times
8/14 - Football 4 pm to 8 pm on Bellamy 2
8/15 - Football 7:30 am to 10:30 am on Bellamy 2
8/17 - Golf: 8am meeting in the Dover High School gymnasium, tryouts later that afternoon @ Cocheco Country Club
Cross Country: 8 am on Dover High School softball outfield
Boys Soccer: 9 am to11 am on Bellamy 3 with Bellamy 1 if needed
Cheer: 3pm - 6 pm in the Dover High School Auxiliary gymnasium
Volleyball: 4 pm - 6 pm in the Dover High School main gymnasium
Field Hockey: 5 pm - 7:30pm on Fisk Field
Girls Soccer: 5 pm - 7 pm on Bellamy 3 with Bellamy 1 if needed
Unified Soccer: Will begin after students return to school
9/1 - Middle School sports meeting in the Dover Middle School gymnasium right after school. Tryouts will be 9/2 and 9/3, with a potential of 9/9, after school. Please listen to the announcements at the start of the school year.
All student-athletes and their parent/guardian are required to complete an on-line athletic registration prior to the first practice/tryout through our registration platform, FinalForms, at
https://dover-nh.finalforms.com/ . Dover High School student-athletes will be charged an $150 service fee, and Dover Middle School student-athletes will be charged an $80 service fee, after teams have been selected and rosters have been established for the season. Only those student-athletes who qualify for "reduced lunch" will receive a reduced service fee while those student-athletes who qualify for "free lunch" will receive a waiver of the service fee.
All student-athletes must have a physical examination prior to the first practice/tryout. Physicals are valid for a two-year period from date of issuance. Physicals will be offered at Seacoast Orthopedics located at 7 Marsh Brook Drive, Building A Somersworth, NH 03878 . Please call to set up an appointment.
Every student-athlete should come prepared to work out on the first day. Mouthpieces are required in football and field hockey and must be worn on the first day of practice. All field hockey players are strongly encouraged to have protective eyewear. Additionally, each athlete should bring their own water bottle for practice and tryouts.
