BIG NEWS FROM WIREGRASS ANGEL HOUSE! ✨🎉

It is with tremendous excitement and great anticipation that we officially welcome Seth Brooks as the newest member of the Wiregrass Angel House family, serving as our Court Advocate!

To say that we are thrilled would be an understatement. From the moment this opportunity arose, I knew Seth was the perfect person for this position. His passion, experience, dedication, and heart for helping others make him an incredible addition to our team.

Seth brings with him more than 12 years of experience with the District Attorney's Office, along with valuable experience in civil law. Throughout his career, he has consistently demonstrated a deep commitment to serving and supporting victims during some of the most difficult moments of their lives. His compassion, professionalism, and unwavering desire to make a difference have touched countless individuals, and we know that same dedication will have a lasting impact here at Wiregrass Angel House.

What excites us most isn't just Seth's impressive background—it's his heart. He has always been an advocate for those who need someone in their corner, and that mission aligns perfectly with the work we do every day. We are confident that his knowledge, leadership, and genuine care for others will strengthen our ability to serve victims and families throughout our community.

The future is bright, and we cannot wait to see all the amazing things Seth will accomplish in this role. We know he will be a powerful voice for those we serve and an invaluable asset to our organization.

The Punishers have been faithful supporters of Wiregrass Angel House through numerous events and fundraisers over the years, continually showing up for the families we serve and the mission we carry forward.

We are grateful for their generosity, partnership, and commitment to making a difference throughout the Wiregrass.

Laura Lee brings heart, dedication, and hard work to our organization every single day.

Her impact reaches far beyond the office. Laura Lee is the mastermind behind organizing our fundraisers, coordinating door prizes, helping with newsletters, preserving memories as our historian, and jumping in wherever she is needed. She helps keep things moving behind the scenes and plays a huge role in making so many of our events and projects successful.

Her creativity, organization, and servant’s heart make her an incredibly important part of our team, and we are so excited to have her helping us continue our mission to serve families and survivors across our community.

Bobie is the kind of person every organization hopes to have but rarely finds. She is incredibly organized, detail-oriented, and always makes sure nothing slips through the cracks—whether it’s an event, a contract, or a donation. Because of her diligence, Wiregrass Angel House is able to be a responsible steward of every dollar entrusted to our mission.

💙 Bobie has taken so much weight off the shoulders of our leadership team while strengthening our entire organization. She has a unique way of making every staff member feel valued, supported, and heard, all while keeping things running smoothly behind the scenes.

At Wiregrass Angel House, we are blessed to have team members who are passionate about serving others and committed to making a difference in our community. 💙 Our featured teammate for May is Matlei Danford, who oversees our Court Referral Education Program.

The Court Referral Education Program plays an important role in helping support many of our other services, including court advocacy and counseling support for survivor families. Matlei works hard to ensure the program runs smoothly while helping clients understand the accountability and responsibilities expected of them.

Matlei is known for being strict and stern — and honestly, that is exactly what is needed in her role. She holds people accountable while helping guide them toward better decisions and personal growth. Her direct approach comes from experience, professionalism, and a genuine desire to see others succeed.

Beyond her primary role, Matlei is always willing to jump in and assist with projects that support the survivor families we serve throughout the house. She brings dedication, reliability, and plenty of personality to our team. ✨

Around Angel House, we affectionately refer to her as our “ray of sarcastic sunshine” ☀️ because beneath the sarcasm is someone who truly cares about our mission and the people we serve every single day.

On Tuesday, May 12th, Wiregrass Angel House received a very special visit from our youngest ambassador, Baby Miss Angel 💙

She stopped by with paper products and snacks for the house, and we were so thankful for her kindness and sweet spirit. Pictured with Baby Miss Angel are Laura Lee and WAH Board President Barbara Ward.
