CASA of the Wiregrass Region
CASA of the Wiregrass Region has been largely successful in its endeavors to serve the abused and neglected children of Houston Henry counties. Since its inception of 2017, this program has advocated on behalf of almost 300 of Houston and Henry county’s most vulnerable children. However, many more children in the Wiregrass Region are still in need. Since the COVID-19 pandemic caused children to quarantine at home with no witnesses to their home life, there has been a rise in abuse and neglect cases. All children deserve the advocacy that a CASA program can provide which is why it is our goal to ensure that we can successfully engage with the community to recruit more volunteers.
