7 AM ET 6/3 - With the region now behind the cold front we can finally enjoy a couple dry days of lower humidity and pleasant temperatures. 😃☀️

Unfortunately, it will be short lived as our temps begin to climb back up beginning tomorrow with rain chances returning this weekend.

🙏 Join Us for the First Annual ComfortCALLS Day – July 16

Local churches have always been a source of hope, compassion, and support for those facing life’s challenges. We invite your congregation to take part in the First Annual ComfortCALLS Day and help reach individuals who may be struggling with loneliness, hardship, or uncertainty.

Through volunteer outreach, prayer, sharing information about 211 services, or simply encouraging community connections, your church can make a meaningful difference. Together, we can remind our neighbors that they are not alone and that help is just a phone call away.

Wiregrass 211 launched ComfortCALLS to bring comfort, connection, and compassion to homebound seniors facing isolation. This program provides friendly conversations and wellness check-ins that brighten lives and strengthen community ties.

On July 16, we will host the First Annual ComfortCALLS Day—a community-wide effort to raise awareness and support seniors who may be feeling alone. Held during the height of summer, this initiative also helps ensure homebound seniors are safe and supported during periods of extreme heat.

We invite local churches to join us in showing how a simple phone call can make a lasting difference.

How to Participate:
• Make a ComfortCALL to a homebound church member- homebound seniors.
• Spend a few minutes talking, listening, and checking on their well-being, especially during extreme heat
• Encourage ongoing participation by referring individuals to Wiregrass 211 for ComfortCALLS enrollment
• Invite others to join in spreading compassion across our community
• Support the mission through a donation to Wiregrass 211

Together, we can ensure that no senior feels forgotten—and that every call brings comfort, connection, and hope.

Partner with Wiregrass 211 and help bring comfort, hope, and connection to our community—one call at a time.
