Join Greener Partners next Friday for Fall Fest at The CommUnity Garden!

Join us in welcoming the season of harvest and abundance! This is an outdoor, family-friendly gathering and CU@TC’s largest event of the year. Enjoy a healing pavilion with local wellness practitioners, gardening activities, live music performances, drum circles, community resources, and more!

Greener Partners was one of eight local organizations recognized at Ambler Savings “Day of Giving” on Friday, September 25. The event was held at
the new branch location to recognize notable non-profit organizations for the positive impact their missions have had on the community.

Our Bridging the Gaps intern, Dani, is presenting at a symposium!

Greener Partners hosted a seven-week Bridging the Gap intern from Drexel University, providing an immersive, hands-on experience that introduced her to the many facets of our work—from urban farming and food access to community engagement and food education. Through her time with GP, she gained a deeper understanding of how community-based food systems can support health and well-being beyond the clinical setting.

“I am deeply grateful for my internship with Greener Partners, which provided a hands-on, outdoor experience outside the clinical setting and deepened my connection to Philadelphia’s neighborhoods. Through this work, I gained a tangible understanding of urban food access and watched community hubs sustain local gardens to support residents holistically. This experience transformed my approach to care, empowering me to meet future patients where they are with practical, local nutrition resources. Surrounded by passionate, welcoming educators and growers, I learned invaluable lessons in food justice and community outreach that will shape my future medical practice.”— Dani Nagamoto, PhD

As we get back in the swing of the school year we look to school staff to help support our school gardens. Some of our most unsung heroes are the maintenance and janitorial staff! They help with irrigation, trash pickup, coordinating mowing, building, and a host of other background tasks that help keep our gardens running smoothly. They are getting the flowers they deserve at Global Leadership Academy Southwest!

We love when we are just going to check up on a garden but then the students at recess run over asking if they can help and it turns into a whole garden party!

The potatoes that they planted earlier this spring were ready to harvest, and they had a blast digging them up the little treasures and freaking out at rolie polie in the process. It was awesome for a few of them to have witnessed the full planting to harvest timeline!
