This month, our dear friend and partner in Uganda, the Rev. Canon Romans Serunjogi, visited the US and was thoroughly welcomed by ECHOES and friends! Romans enjoyed learning to drive a boat on the Chesapeake Bay with Joe Volpe; a visit to Cape May with Teresa and Joe Marlino that included a stop at the zoo and a (chilly!) beach day; lunching at Minella’s Diner in Wayne (his favorite spot!) with Leslie Lewis; and a fun day trip to Lancaster County for a ride on the Strasbourg Rail Road steam train with Frances Keen, Elizabeth Vandiver, and Leslie Roy.

CONGRATULATIONS to the bright students at Trinity Children’s Centre who performed at the highest levels in their recent annual examinations! The dedicated work of these students has earned Trinity the ranking of #6 out of 457 schools in the Kampala city district, and #143 out of all the 6200 schools in the whole Uganda!

Meanwhile, the construction of Trinity’s new classroom building is progressing beautifully — thanks in part to our wonderful and generous ECHOES supporters. Thank you, friends!!
