Tweens and teens embroidered some sweet patches today at Carlisle Public Library, with help from ASAP board member Kat Hutchison. Heartfelt thanks and best wishes to retiring Youth Services Librarian "Sherry-from-the-Library" Schlundt, who has been a great program partner!

E pluribus unum = Out of many, one. Our American flag community art project at Bondurant Community Library illustrates how many individual, different pieces can come together to form a cohesive and beautiful whole.

ASAP engaged teens and tweens in Calligraphy on Monday, thanks to our new partner, Polk City Community Library. The kids will return for part two of the program later this week. Stay tuned to see their final projects!

Get on out to the Principal Charity Classic at Wakonda Club this weekend, like ASAP Board member Katie Flippen and I did today. All proceeds support children's charities in Iowa, including ASAP!

Kicking off the 250th American summer at Ankeny Public Library by making unique paper sculptures that collectively come together as our US flag. About 45 kids and 15 adults participated so far, and we still have 2 rows to go. Ask for materials at the Youth Services desk if you want to add to our paper tapestry!
