All Des Moines Public Library locations will be serving as cooling centers during open hours through Saturday, September 5 or until Polk County's Extreme Temperature Plan is no longer active. DART will be providing free rides to approved cooling centers while the extreme temperature plan is activated. DART phone 515-283-8100.
