The Urban Dreams Summer Youth Employment Program is proud to be part of one of the largest youth sporting events in the country!
Thanks to an incredible partnership with Catch Des Moines, our Summer Youth Employment participants have the opportunity to work throughout the entire AAU Junior Olympic Games, gaining valuable paid, real-world experience while helping welcome thousands of athletes, coaches, families, and visitors from across the nation to Central Iowa.
Over the course of the Games, our students will be working alongside volunteers and event staff at venues across the Des Moines metro. From assisting with event operations and guest services to providing hospitality and helping create a first-class experience for visitors, our youth are playing an important role in the success of this nationally recognized event.
These experiences go far beyond a summer job. They help young people build confidence, strengthen communication and leadership skills, develop professionalism, and learn what it means to be part of a team serving their community. Every shift is another opportunity to grow, gain experience, and prepare for future careers.
We are incredibly grateful to Catch Des Moines for creating this opportunity and believing in the potential of our young people. Partnerships like this demonstrate the power of investing in youth while showcasing the talent, work ethic, and leadership of the next generation.
