Thanks to Kick It Forward, DMRS youth and their families have access to free tickets for the Des Moines Menace match this Saturday, June 20, at 7:00 PM at Mediacom Stadium.

If you know some of our DMRS kids, bring them out and join us!

And for everyone else, come join us too! Bring the family and enjoy a fun summer evening of ⚽️. We'd love to see friends, supporters, and familiar faces come together to cheer on the Des Moines Menace.

Tomorrow, June 20th is World Refugee Day!

This summer marks the 4th year of Des Moines Refugee Support’s initiative, Women of the World! We’re proud to empower refugee women by helping them sell delicious baked goods, unique spices, and aromatic teas at local farmers markets.

Through mentoring, community building, and fostering financial stability, we are supporting 17 incredible women this season at over 30 area markets.

Come see us tomorrow!

We had so much fun doing “Art in the Park” today. The money we earn being a part of the beverage team at the Des Moines Arts Festival gives us many opportunities to do art with our kids. Today we also ate pizza and ice cream, played soccer, and splashed at the spray ground. Perfect day!!

Thanks to the $$$ we earn running a Beverage Tent at The Des Moines Arts Festival, we got to do “Art in the Park” today with 38 of our kiddos and some middle school friends from Faith Lutheran Church. This is only one of many ways that we get to expose our friends to the arts, thanks to our partnership with the Des Moines Arts Festival.

Our friend Cindy has fed our soccer boys several times this season, with the help of various friends and tonight, her grandsons. She brought a feast for the almost 100 DMRS boys trying out for spots on the 16, U17, U18, and U19 teams. Thank you, Cindy Hauschildt!!

Today! This market is super international, with tamales, and at least one Somali family and one Pakistani family. We will be there with our usual yummies and more!!!
