UPDATE ON ZOLA & HER CALF

Thank you to everyone for their concern regarding the birth of Zola’s calf.

This afternoon, while monitoring the birth, our keepers and veterinary staff observed that the calf was malpositioned and required veterinary assistance.

Veterinarians immediately intervened as the calf had no heartbeat at birth. Despite lifesaving efforts, the calf did not survive.

At this time, Zola is doing well and is continuing to be monitored.

Our thoughts are with our keepers and veterinary teams. Thank you for your understanding and support.
