is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization based in Colorado. We reject the assumption that people with intellectual and developmental disabilities are limited in their capacity to enjoy the full human experience. Instead, The Wayfaring Band envisions a world where everybody matters, differences enrich, and opportunities are boundless. The mission of The Wayfaring Band is to provide support, build awareness, and foster genuine connection between people with and without intellectual and developmental disabilities through education, socialization, and transformative travel. Join us for a screening of Being Heumann, a film about disability rights activist Judy Heumann and the historic 1977 Section 504 sit-in.

After the movie, we’ll stick around for a group conversation about the film, disability rights, and what it means to keep showing up for access and inclusion.
