In 2008, Get HOPE's founder felt called to do something very practical with her teaching, business and mission experience. She developed a business-training curriculum, focusing on the many character qualities she’d taught over the years. But it wasn’t for high-powered executives. It was for those in deepest need – the oppressed and underprivileged women she had met throughout her international tr

avels. Basics of Business was born. It was followed by a microfinance program and two other training programs for use in various settings. This biblically-based business training has changed the lives of women and girls by giving them hope, tools, training – and the dignity of a chance.

Corrie ten Boom knew what it was like to walk through suffering, loss, and uncertainty. That's what makes these words so powerful.

Hope often begins with the simple reminder that no situation is beyond God's reach.

We've seen that truth reflected in the lives of women who have faced overwhelming challenges and still found the courage to take the next step forward.

Angelina grew up in a difficult environment and experienced instability from a young age. 💛 While her family's work helped provide for their needs, it wasn't the future she wanted for herself.

Today, Angelina is investing her energy into building a more stable future. Through a HOPE group, she is helping launch a women-led business that will provide financial services and everyday essentials to her community. 🌿

For many women we walk alongside, the most meaningful change doesn’t happen only in their income.

It happens in the way they begin to see themselves, in the confidence to take a step forward, and in the connection they find with other women doing the same.

When a woman is supported by community, everything shifts a little at a time. Not just her business, but her sense of what’s possible.

Across Tanzania and much of sub-Saharan Africa, women make up nearly half of the agricultural workforce, playing a central role in small-scale farming and food production. (Source: FAO)

From planting and harvesting to selling goods in local markets, their work helps sustain families and keeps everyday life moving in communities across the region.

While their contribution is significant, many women farmers still face challenges such as limited access to land, tools, and financial resources. Even so, they continue to show remarkable resilience in how they provide for their families and communities. 💛
