Our partnership with .dance is rooted in a shared commitment to learn, grow and create more equitable access to the arts, together. Through this cross-institutional collaboration, we’re building a two-way pathway that connects ArtistiCO’s students and families with advanced ballet training and performances, while enriching the community with Latin dance, fresh perspectives, and cultural vibrancy.

From hosting “Day of Dance” studio experiences to presenting collaborative performances with , this partnership allows both organizations to learn from one another while expanding the diversity of dance represented in the community.

We recently saw that collaboration in action when six incredible ArtistiCO students joined us in our studios for a CBA scholarship audition—bringing their artistry, energy, and passion into our space. Together, we’re investing in one another and planting the seeds for the next generation of professional dancers. 🩰🌱

Trying to make it through the week like... 🧛‍♂️🩸

It’s and we are taking it back to the beginning of last season with the cult-favorite “Dracula.”

First created in 1996 featuring captivating choreography by Michael Pink, this frighteningly fascinating ballet brings the legendary gothic novel to life. Complete with Victorian style sets and seductive vampires, this ballet always leaves us spellbound.

Science now shows that engaging with the arts is a vital component of long-term health. Just as we hit the gym to strengthen our bodies, experiencing live art strengthens our emotional resilience and mental well-being.

Research from the book “Art Cure,” by Daisy Fancourt, demonstrates that attending live events can actually lower stress hormones and decrease the risk of depression. It is a powerful way to experience connection, ritual, and community. 🩰

♠️❤️ It’s , and we are throwing it back to the stunning, Pop Art-inspired world of our 2024 production of "ALICE (in wonderland)."

Choreographer Septime Webre took cues from the classic Disney film to bring the Victorian fairy tale into a vibrant, colorful new light. A perfect example of that vision is captured here in Liza Vandal’s brilliant costume design, featuring our dancers playing the "cards" in tutus that look like an actual playing card. 🃏✨

🌈We are already looking forward to bringing more of Webre’s cinematic, high-energy storytelling to Denver when we present "The Wizard of Oz" in spring 2027.

📸 The Inaugural "MasterWorks" at the Ellie Caulkins Opera House. 🌟

This week, we’re looking back at the 2013 debut of "MasterWorks," our annual repertory production that marked a bold new chapter for Colorado Ballet.

The triple bill featured Glen Tetley’s "The Rite of Spring," the world premiere of Val Caniparoli’s "In Pieces," and George Balanchine’s "Theme and Variations," the first Balanchine work staged after Gil Boggs took the helm as Artistic Director.

As we celebrate Boggs’ 20th anniversary this season, "MasterWorks" serves as a testament to his vision and his two decades of bringing world-class artistry to the Denver stage. 🩰✨
