🎓 Congratulations to our LTP Class of 2026 graduates! 💜

We are incredibly proud of these graduates and their hard work, perseverance, and dedication to their educational journeys within the behavioral health field. It has been an honor to support, encourage, and be part of the journey with them as they worked toward this important milestone.

Whether they are continuing their education, pursuing licensure, or entering the behavioral health workforce, we are excited to see all they accomplish in this next chapter. We look forward to continuing to support them throughout their educational and professional journeys and celebrating their future successes.

At Latinx Therapist Project, our mission is to advance mental health equity by building, supporting, and sustaining a strong and representative Latino mental health workforce in Colorado. Every degree earned by a Latine, Spanish-speaking, or bilingual behavioral health professional brings us one step closer to that goal and strengthens the future of mental health care in our communities.

🎉 A win for students, future mental health professionals, and Colorado communities!

🚨We’re proud to celebrate the passage of HB26-1143: Safety, Not Status, a bill led by that removes unnecessary barriers for students pursuing internships, clinical practicums, and other educational opportunities.

🌟Latinx Therapist Project was honored to support this effort through testimony from our Executive Director, Bridget Sanchez, LMFT, LAC, who spoke about how SSN requirements can prevent qualified, bilingual, and culturally responsive students from completing their training and entering the mental health workforce. This new law helps ensure that opportunity is determined by qualifications and safety—not immigration paperwork.

Thank you to Juntos Community for your leadership and to everyone who advocated for this important change. Together, we’re creating stronger pathways for the next generation of providers our communities need. 💛

We are officially halfway through our Professional Development Cohort! ✨

This month, our cohort gathered at Clinica Family Health & Wellness – Westminster Office for a meaningful session facilitated by Dr. Xochilt Alamillo. Together, clinicians engaged in reflective conversations on professional journeys, Latina identity, healing, and culturally responsive care.

The group also explored Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and how its tools — mindfulness, emotion regulation, distress tolerance, and interpersonal effectiveness — can be adapted to support culturally grounded clinical practice and strengthen emotional resilience.

A huge thank you to Clinica for hosting us and to our grant partner, Adams County, whose support helps make this program possible and strengthens our local mental health workforce. 💛

What were people’s final thoughts after the Mental Health Careers Conference? 💭✨ From feeling inspired and empowered to finding new connections and career pathways, these reflections remind us why spaces like MHCC matter so much.

We’re incredibly grateful to everyone who attended, shared their experiences, and helped make this event so meaningful. A huge thank you as well to our amazing partners and supporters who helped bring this conference to life. Because of this community, we were able to welcome more than 110 attendees for a day of learning, connection, and exploration in the mental health field. 💙

What an incredible weekend at the Colfax Marathon! 🏃🏽⭐️

It was so inspiring to see everyone show up and accomplish their goals👏🏽 We are beyond grateful to every runner, supporter, donor, and community member who represented the Latinx Therapist Project this weekend!!

As our first year participating as a Colfax charity partner, this experience meant so much to us — and we hope even more of you will choose to run for LTP or support our mission next year💛
