🧵✨ DID YOU KNOW? TUESDAY! ✨🧵

Ever wonder where the word "quilt" came from?

📜 The word quilt traces its roots to the Latin word culcita, meaning a stuffed sack, cushion, or mattress!

What began as a practical way to create warmth and comfort has evolved into an incredible art form filled with creativity, tradition, and storytelling.

❤️ Today, quilts can tell family histories, celebrate special occasions, preserve memories, and even become breathtaking works of art!

💬 Now we're curious!

Do you quilt for warmth, decoration, storytelling, or simply for the joy of creating something beautiful?

And if quilting isn't your fiber art, we'd love to hear what inspires YOUR creations!

🧶 TUESDAY TIP — DON'T LOSE YOUR PLACE! 🧶

Ever been working on a beautiful project, made one little mistake, and wished you could rewind your stitches? 😱

Here's a little trick knitters love — USE A LIFELINE!

🪡 Thread a piece of contrasting yarn through the stitches on your knitting needle at a point where everything is correct.

Keep knitting as usual. If something goes wrong later, you can unravel safely back to your lifeline instead of starting all over!

✨ A little preparation can save a whole lot of frustration!

Crocheters, you can protect your progress too! Place a removable stitch marker in the active loop before tackling a tricky section.

👇 Have you ever used a lifeline or another trick to rescue a project? Share your tips with us!

🧵 MAKER MONDAY — CONFESSION TIME! 🤭

Come on, fiber artists… we all have that ONE thing we just can't resist collecting!

🧶 Another skein of yarn?
✂️ Fabric you just HAD to have?
🪡 Embroidery floss in every color?
🧵 Thread, buttons, patterns, or maybe all of the above?

And let's not even talk about the supplies we bought for projects we haven't started yet! 😂

So here's today's question:

👇 What fiber arts supply can you NEVER have enough of?

Tell us your crafting confession in the comments! We promise not to judge! 💙
