Thankful Thursday
Since Thursdays have historically been our volunteer work days, it seems appropriate to express our gratitude for especially special volunteers of Camp Mardela.
Today, we want to show appreciation for Amy and Paul Hutchison. For many years, they have been helping to coordinate and run the Camp Supper, they helped with Camp Appreciation day just a few weeks ago and for many years before that. They've also helped with food stands at the Auction and Yard Sale and even helped with a BBQ Chicken fundraiser a few times!
Their dedication and culinary skills have been a great support to camp. They have also immense support through their family and church friends at Fairview Church of the Brethren who have all been enthusiastic supporters of camp for many years as well.
This year, Amy made the hard decision to pass the torch of the Camp Supper to a new generation. We are still working on getting new leadership established for this historic fundraiser, and she has graciously offered to help with that transition as well, passing on all she has learned to the next leader.
But in the meantime, we want to acknowledge all of the hard work and dedication they have given to Camp Mardela as we prepare for this transition. Thank you - Amy and Paul Hutchison - for sharing your time and talents with the camp community :)
