C.I.A. ~ Cubs in Action

Members of the Cub Club will join with NCHS Leo members assisting at the Lions Club booth at Summerfest 2026.

Stop by ~ for popcorn, chicken tenders, fries, and drinks. Stop by ~ to meet our members or, better yet, join our group. Stop by ~ to donate equipment your player has outgrown.

Caroline Summerfest theme this year is Celebrating 250 years of America.

Denton Nursing & Rehab put on such a great event, and our Cubs were so happy to be able to help! ❤️

A big THANK YOU to all of our Cubs, and siblings, who came out and participated—you all did an amazing job! Some of our helpers aren’t pictured, but their hard work and willingness to lend a hand certainly didn’t go unnoticed.

And a special shoutout to our new Secretary, Sophia Irby… you know why! 🦁😂

We’ll start our Cub meetings back up once school is underway. After our new officers have a chance to get together, make some decisions, and plan for the year ahead, we’ll put out the date for our next meeting.

Congratulations to one of our own! Cub Elena Campbell was crowned Caroline/Dorchester County Fair Little Princess this Wednesday at the county fair. Great job Elena, way to represent the Cubs!

🐾 Hello Cub Families! 🐾

We hope everyone is having a great summer! While our regular Cub meetings won't resume until September, we have a couple of fun service opportunities coming up if you'd like to get involved.

🧹 Wednesday, July 29 | 6:30 PM
4-H Park Clean-Up Night (Denton 4-H Park)
Help get the park ready for the fair! Volunteers will assist with a variety of projects, including preparing the 4-H and Open Exhibit areas, kitchen setup, and more. Dinner (pizza, snacks, and water) will be provided. If you'd like this to count as a Cub Club service project, please email or text us before the event so we can have a service form ready for you.

🍿 Thursday, August 13 | 3:00–5:00 PM
Back-to-School Event at Denton Nursing & Rehab
Volunteers are needed to help with setup, activities, and cleanup. The event will include snow cones, popcorn, face painting, and school supply giveaways for the community.

🦁 We also need a volunteer (5'10" or taller) to wear Rion the Lion during the event! If you're interested, please let us know.

If you'd like to volunteer for either event or have any questions, send us an email or text.

We can't wait to see everyone back at our Cub meetings in September! 💙💛

Last Sunday, with gift bags and cards in hand, the Cub Club visited the men residing at Denton Nursing and Rehab.

On Thursday, May 20th, the Marydel Lions Club hosted the Healthy Vision Dinner bringing together Lions, Lifetime Wells Vision board members, and community supporters.

Lifetime Wells Vision founder, Mr. Ken Wood, shared his story and the evening raised $5,315 to help provide sight restoring surgeries, medications, and eyeglasses to those in need.

The Marydel Lions Club graciously allowed us to borrow the eyeglasses that demonstrated the blurred and cloudy vision of those with cataracts. What a wonderful opportunity to introduce the Cub Club members to this Lion mission of improving the lives of those visually impaired!

To follow up on our previous post…What a wonderful way to wrap up our Cub Club meetings until fall! ☀️🐾
Congratulations to our newly elected officers: Ethan Campbell, Brady Sosnowski, Sophia Irby, and Brody Dieterich! We are excited to see all the great things you'll accomplish in your leadership roles.

Our Cub Club members did an amazing job creating Father's Day cards and assembling goodie bags for the residents of Denton Nursing and Rehab. Their kindness and creativity are sure to bring smiles to many faces.

To top off a fantastic year, everyone enjoyed a fun-filled game of Lions Bingo to kick-start the summer season!

Thank you to all of our Cub Club members, families, and volunteers for a great first season. Have a safe, fun, and relaxing summer—we can't wait to see everyone again this fall! 🌞🦁💙

Great gathering for our final meeting before summer break. Meetings will resume in September when the new school year begins. Service opportunities will continue through the summer and will be announced by email and posted to our page.
