Climate Week NYC 2026
Climate change is a scientific reality, a political question, an economic force, and increasingly, a cultural one.
The Climate of Art brings artists, conservationists, scientists, writers, cultural leaders, and young climate advocates together in New York during Climate Week NYC to explore how art can deepen our understanding of a changing planet and shape the ways we respond to it.
Hosted annually by Climate Conservancy, the gathering considers the relationship between creativity and conservation, asking what becomes possible when scientific knowledge is translated into something people can see, feel, interpret, and remember.
Across visual art, poetry, photography, performance, storytelling, and interdisciplinary practice, the evening will explore the many ways artists are documenting ecological change, giving language to environmental loss, celebrating the natural world, and imagining more livable futures.
The Climate of Art is an intimate space for thoughtful exchange and meaningful connection. Guests will have the opportunity to encounter creative work, hear from practitioners working across disciplines, and meet others contributing to the cultural dimension of climate action.
During a week defined by conversations about policy, finance, technology, energy, and implementation, we are making room for another essential question:
What does climate change mean to us as human beings, and what can art teach us about living responsibly on a changing planet?
