We’d like to take a moment to highlight one of Reel Dreams And You’s biggest supporters - Keith Thomas! Keith is a dedicated Rotarian and an amazing artist, his urban sketches capturing many unique sights across the world. Keith’s donations have benefitted several of our film programs - including Movie Magic Video Camp and our Community Short Films - and we’re incredibly grateful for his longtime support. What a fantastic kickoff to summer break! Session A of Movie Magic Video Camp wrapped today, and we’re blown away by the sheer talent we witnessed over the past week. Fifteen breakout stars came together to learn and create, ultimately filming an entire short that they crewed and starred in! Special thanks to Samantha Martin, one of our program alumni who returned to assist our camp instructors; Sonny's BBQ in DeLand, who generously donated boxed lunches for our wrap party; and City of DeLand, FL - Parks and Recreation, who once again provided us with our camp location! We’re so proud of what our first group of summer campers accomplished, and we know they’re going to create some amazing things in the future.

We would like to express our warmest gratitude to some of Reel Dreams’ biggest community supporters, Katherine Russell and Foundations To Freedom! Started by Katherine in 2021, Foundations provides life-changing recovery housing and support services to individuals in need. Their sizable contributions have made several of our programs possible, and we’re so thankful for their wonderful generosity. Thank you for making a difference in the lives of future storytellers, Katherine and Foundations!

It’s twice the star power at the red carpet with Movie Magic Video Camp alumni Jax Datz & Abraham Rosa! Jax and Abraham both attended our 2025 Session A camp, where they portrayed opposite sides of the theatrical spectrum in Inspied Out - Comedy and Drama, respectively! In addition to their other roles, Abraham functioned as the short’s Script Supervisor, while Jax was one of our BTS Videographers. Both stars were immensely gifted writers and improvisers, and our team had a blast witnessing their creativity at work.
