Tuesdays and Saturdays 12:00 to 5:00
Fridays 1:00 to 6:00.

Artist Spotlight!

Dennis Fair, DAM Studio President, is a dedicated metalsmith with over eleven years of experience. Since 2018, Dennis has worked with and taught a wide range of casting techniques, including lost wax, Delft clay, straw, and water casting. His passion for the craft extends into glass and copper enameling and silversmithing. Dennis also works in lapidary, and can help you out with the Studio's trim saw and Genie for cabochon work. Whether you're a complete beginner or a seasoned maker, Dennis brings hands-on expertise and a genuine love of teaching to every class.

Artist Spotlight!

Christopher Darway has been working as a designer, teacher, and artisan in metals for over 40 years, earning his B.F.A. in craft design from Philadelphia College of Art. Over the years, he has sold his work through galleries, shops, and craft shows, including ACC and Smithsonian. His work has been exhibited in Germany, Japan, and England. He is a two-time recipient of the New Jersey State Council of the Arts Award, a senior PMC instructor for Rio Grande, former president of the Pennsylvania Society of Goldsmiths, and writer for Art Jewelry Magazine. He currently teaches at the Wayne Art Center and for the University of the Arts, Continuing Education Program.

Artist Spotlight!

Meet Lainie, your DAM Treasurer, silversmithing instructor, and lifelong master jeweler.

Lainie began making jewelry in a neighbor's basement in Allentown, PA, at 14 years old. And she never quit! Lainie has spent her life living her passion and making her art pay the bills. Her favorite tool is the TORCH 🔥 and her favorite medium is gold for its malleability and freeform beauty when melted. She spent many years working with shipwreck treasure from the Atocha, Santa Margherita, 1715 fleet, and other South Florida wrecks. She's set thousands of coins, Atocha emeralds, and probably every stone you can imagine.

These days, Lainie helps keep her art alive with her dedication to the DAM Studio and is passing the torch (literally) on to the next generation of jewelers. Sign up for her upcoming Intro to Silversmithing class and learn from the master!

Beautiful student work out of the studio this weekend. This was our titanium workshop and students learned how to work this tough metal and use electrolysis to oxidize it for a range of unique colors.
